GUIDE: How Do I Delay An Email In Microsoft Outlook?
Managing your inbox on a day-by-day basis can be overwhelming.
You’re likely getting emails at all hours of the day, whether you’re “on the clock” or not. Wouldn’t it be nice if you had more control over when your emails get sent out?
This is precisely why Microsoft Outlook includes a feature that lets you schedule outgoing emails.
Schedule Your Emails Ahead Of Time
Microsoft Outlook Desktop App
- Open a new email
- Fill in the subject and body
- Click “Options”
- Select “Delay delivery”
- Set the details of the email’s timing
Microsoft Outlook Web Browser App
- Open a new email
- Fill in the subject and body
- Click pull down menu next to “Send”
- Select “Send later”
- Set the schedule for the message’s delivery
By following this method, your email will wait in your outbox until the time you have specified. This allows you to compose your emails at a time that fits your schedule, without having to bother recipients during off-hours.
